Types & Specifications

Military and/or high temperature applications
As an alternative to the Raychem S1125 2-component adhesive, Brandsma also provides the DP490 from 3M. This is a high quality 2-component adhesive that stays a little more flexible. The components do not come together until the nozzle, where they are automatically mixed while spraying. You do not have to use the entire contents of the syringe at once: a number of interchangeable nozzles is sufficient.

GELTEK
GELTEK is a very special seal that was originally developed by Raychem, but is now a product of Dow Corning. Under light pressure, GELTEK closes materials that can not be glued, like many fluoropolymers, including Teflon (PTFE) and FEP.

RAYBLOCK
RAYBLOCK from Raychem is a series of products for sealing wiring as it is common in the automotive industry. Where wiring comes from a bundle, Rayblock forms a barrier agains the penetration of moisture. It is, in fact, a heat melting adhesive such as that in ATE and HTAT heat shrink, in the form of a star, or a comb that is placed in between the wiring. On heating, the glue between the wires melts, so that it forms a perfect seal. The package size is substantial, and therefore not suitable for low volume applications.

RAYGEL
Like GELTEK, RAYGEL is an insulating and water repellent gel, but is placed in a closable housing. You can use Raygel to make a wiring connection, then insulate it and seal it tightly. The material properties make it possible to reopen the housing at any time in order to disconnect and correct the wiring. Raygel is reusable if no dirt gets in. Raygel is ideal, for example, for underground wiring for horticulture or garden lights, street lights, etc.
